To easily start a slideshow with all the images in a folder, navigate to the folder containing the desired photo files, then select the first image from the folder. A new yellow Image Tools section will appear above the Manage tab on the ribbon. Press here. There you will see some current options in the viewport as well.
I also want to inform you that on Windows you can no longer access the selected folders or both that are meant for slideshows. You can play huge time push shows from a folder. However, you can use the Photos or Photo Gallery apps to play slideshows from multiple directories.
