Wait for the desktop to load and be ready.
In the VMware product creation interface, find the menu item “Install VMware Tools”, which is usually found in the “Virtual Machine” or “Guest OS” menu.
Open a terminal window. This can usually be done by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T on your keyboard.
Run sudo apt install build-essential. To do this, type the command at the command prompt and press Enter?.
Go to https://www.vmware.com/products/workstation-player.html in a good browser.
Click the green Download Now icon.
Click Download to access the Linux version.
