VirtualBox is Oracle’s open source virtualization platform that makes it easy to create virtual hosts to run Windows 11, Windows 10 or any other operating system along with a larger installation on the same hardware.
Note. Many Windows 10 PCs—and all PCs preinstalled with Windows 11—have the VM platform already enabled, so you may not need to follow these routes. To turn it on completely: Select Start, type Windows Features, and also select Turn Windows Features offline or from a list of leads.
Using Virtualbox with Hyper-V was not a problem in Windows 11. This was due to Microsoft and Oracle discovering a major compatibility issue between VirtualBox and Windows 11 when installing the Windows Hyper-V hypervisor. As a result, many other machines (VMs) did not start and an error was displayed.
