Click Start.
Type cmd at the Search program and files search box.
Right-click on cmd.exe.
Click Run as Administrator.
Type in your Administrator password.
When cmd.exe opens, type the command: chkdsk.
Press Enter.
You can run the tool with more parameters, like this: chkdsk c: /r.
Press ‘ Windows + S ’ and type cmd.
Right-click on Command Prompt and select ‘ Run as Administrator ’. When prompted, click ‘ YES ’.

Run CHKDSK from command line
cmd (Command Prompt) next to the start menu search bar and click “Run as administrator”. Type chkdsk and press Enter. CHKDSK will look for disk errors and notify anyone if it finds any errors that someone needs to fix, but won’t fix them without having them.
Restart your computer.
Press F8 to bring up the Windows 7 logo.
Select Repair your computer.
Press Enter.
Select Command Prompt.
When this file opens, enter the commands: You need bootrec /rebuildbcd.
Press Enter.
In our command prompt, type chkdsk volume: /r then press ENTER to get location errors, bad errors, and readable information.
